When facing a life-limiting illness, Covenant Hospice's Inpatient and Palliative Care Center at Bay Medical Center - Sacred Heart Health System can provide much needed comfort and support to patients and loved ones. 
 
The Covenant Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care Center at Bay Medical Center - Sacred Heart Health System offers patients and their loved ones calm surroundings in a warm, home-like environment.  The Care Center is fully staffed by Covenant Hospice to provide round-the-clock hospice and palliative services to patients.  Those typically admitted to the Care Center need help controlling pain and symptoms of their diagnosis or have family that is in need of respite care.  This innovative approach to offering hospice and palliative care is the first of its kind in the area. 
 
The 11,000 square foot Care Center is located on the third floor of Bay Medical Center - Sacred Heart Health System in Panama City, Florida and consists of 15 exclusively private rooms. 
 
The Care Center is attractively decorated in coastal colors and decor featuring a family room for gathering, children's play area, and refreshment center.  Visiting hours are unlimited and family, friends, loved ones, and children are always welcome.  Each patient room is equipped with comfortable seating and sleeping accommodations for guests, a desk, chair and internet access.  The Care Center offers:
  • Licensed and certified hospice-trained physicians and nurses who are experts in pain and symptom management
  • Social workers and chaplains trained in patient and family emotional and spiritual needs
  • A full continuum of specialized, individualized care 24-hours-a-day
  • Specially trained volunteers who are available to support the patient and family
  • Joint Commission accreditiation, Medicare and Medicaid Certification
  • Admission based on need, regardless of ability to pay
