When a life-limiting illness is no longer manageable at home, Covenant Hospice's Inpatient and Palliative Care Center at West Florida Hospital can provide comfort and support to patients and their families during this difficult journey.
 
 
Amenities
The Covenant Hospice Inpatient and Palliative Care Center at West Florida Hospital offers patients and their loved ones a warm, comfortable setting.  It is fully staffed by Covenant Hospice in a pleasant, home-like environment in which each room allows the patient to be surrounded by loved ones throughout their time with us.  Visiting hours are unlimited, and family, friends, loved ones, and children are welcome. 
 
The 9,000 square foot center is located on the third floor of West Florida Hospital and consists of 16 beds.  It offers four family suites, eight private rooms, and two semi-private rooms for patients who have a life-limiting illness.
 
The center is beautifully decorated and features a quiet room for meditation, a family room for gathering, warm and natural colors, comforatble seating and sleeping accommodations for a family member in each room. 
 

The Care Center offers:
  • Licensed and certified hospice-trained physicians and nurses who are experts in pain and symptom management
  • Social workers and chaplains trained in patient and family emotional and spiritual needs
  • A full continuum of specialized, individualized care 24-hours-a-day
  • Specially trained volunteers who are available to support the patient and family
  • Joint Commission accreditation, Medicare and Medicaid Certification
  • Admission based on need, regardless of ability to pay
