Covenant Hospice is proud to announce Turtle Derby on the Delta will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2008 from noon until 4 pm at Five Rivers Delta Resource Center located on the Mobile Bay Causeway. The Turtle Derby on the Delta is a rubber turtle race and family fun day. Participants will "adopt" a rubber turtle for $5 each and 1,000 - 2,000 turtles will race to the finish line for chance to win their adopter a fabulous prize. The Turtle Derby will also include exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy while exploring their local delta.Don't miss Dan & Shelby with 95 KSJ as they cheer the turtles on and announce the winners on-air at 3:30 pm.

More importantly, this exciting event will make a world of difference for terminally ill patients in Mobile County. It is our mission and our promise to provide care regardless of ability to pay. Since 2005, Covenant Hospice of Mobile County has provided over $400,000 in un-funded patient care with the support of donations, grants, and fundraisers.
