Feelings associated with caring for an individual with Alzheimer’s can be overwhelming. For this reason, Covenant Hospice offers a free monthly Alzheimer’s support group for caregivers at the Marianna Covenant Hospice branch office, located at 4440 Lafayette St. in the old Danley Building across from the courthouse, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the first Thursday of every month. Those who attend will have the opportunity to explore their emotions in a safe and caring environment.
The Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group provides emotional support and education for family and loved ones that have been affected by someone with Alzheimer’s disease. The support group is free but registration is required, and light refreshments will be served.
