What People Are Saying About Covenant Hospice

The following excerpts are taken from some of the many thank you letters that Covenant Hospice receives from patients, their families, and caregivers.

Since my husband Jack Holland was admitted to receive Covenant Hospice services, both he and I have reaped the benefits of all of the service that the company is providing. This includes assistance with many of the expenses related to his care. Covenant provided Jack with medical supplies, durable medical equipment (DME), and medications directly related to his hospice diagnosis. There have been many wonderful nurses that visit at least weekly to check on Jack and assess his needs. Then there is a HHA that visits him 5-days a week that provides him with a great bath and proper daily grooming. I'm also blessed to be assigned a chaplain [who] provides us with spiritual support & fellowship. The social worker visits at least monthly and assists with any questions and any other needs that arise. In addition to the Covenant paid staff, there is a Volunteer Services department that introduced us to an excellent volunteer that just happens to live close by our home that provides us with respite and companion visits that allows me time away from the home to attend doctor's appointments, visit with friends, & provides me with time to run errands periodically. This has been an excellent service to our family. Hospice provides us with 24/7 coverage of a nurse that is just a phone call away, to ask questions and provide emergency care when needed. This helps to ease my mind and allows me to care for my husband in the home and alleveiate anxiety in times of crisis. My husband has been affiliated with Covenant for quite some time and we are fortunate to have a relationship with the staff that is like an extended family.

To whom it may concern:
I am enclosing a gift for the Tree of Lights in memory of my brother who died at your beautiful, compassionate residence in November 2008.  I could never express the gratitude my family and I have for the beautiful and comfortable facility, the excellent care given to my brother, and the love and kindness shown to all of us.  My family actually enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Volunteers!  As a Covenant Hospice Volunteer, and a person who was served by this wonderful caregiving group during my husband's illness, I was already aware of the angels that take part in the caring for those who face death.  Nevertheless, I was deeply touched by this experience.  "Thank you" is so inadequate; my prayers are with you and your mission.

To all involved in Hospice:
A long time friend of mine just told me of his mother’s passing. She was cared for by some of your staff. Her son, Ron, told me he walked into his Mom’s room 2 days before she passed and her caretaker was combing her hair and singing to her. He was very touched by that and so am I. What a special talent and gift your employees have. God Bless you all for that extra care you share with our loved ones at our greatest time of need. Please accept my gift of a donation, in her name and I only hope it will help in some way to allow someone else to experience the loving care your staff provides to those who need TLC in their last days on this Earth. Thank you all,
~Aimee

Enclosed please find a check in memory of [our friend] who passed on recently. Your group helped him and his wife the last couple of weeks of his life. Your being there helped to make his last days bearable. His being able to be home made for peaceful days…The work your organization does is so important to those who need your services. Our own family has been touched by hospice.

Thank you for all you do to ease the passing of those we love and whom have taught us so much! You make such a difference!
~ Kris

The enclosed check is being sent in memory of our dear friend who died of pancreatic cancer earlier this year. We understand that his family appreciated the good hospice care given by the Niceville Covenant Hospice group…
