Covenant Hospice offers public tours of new expansion

Pensacola, FL – Beginning Friday, June 6 Covenant Hospice will be offering public tours of the new addition at the Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Inpatient Residence, located at 10075 Hillview Rd. in Pensacola.   The tours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Friday and Sunday, and are free and open to the public.  Since 1992, the Joyce Goldenberg Residence has cared for more than 1,200 patients and their families at the facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Residence allows Covenant Hospice to provide compassionate care in a homelike atmosphere for those facing a life-limiting illness and their families.  The number of people in the area needing this kind of care has grown substantially.  For that reason, Covenant Hospice embarked on a multi-million dollar capital campaign to expand the size of the Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Inpatient Residence from six semi-private rooms to 16 private patient suites.

Upon the completion of phase two in the Fall, the Inpatient Residence will more than double in size, triple the parking area, triple the number of nursing stations, and add more common area to allow patients and families to experience the best possible days.  For more information or to schedule a tour, call 202-0299.

Covenant Hospice is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate services to patients and loved ones during times of life-limiting illnesses.  Since dying is part of the normal process of life, the focus of Covenant Hospice is to enable our patients to live as fully and comfortable as possible in their home or home-like setting, to provide dignified palliative care, to assist patients’ loved ones in coping with end-of-life issues and the eventual death of the patient, and to improve care for all patients at the end of their lives by example and education.
