A Message from Dr. Leonard R. Hock

Dr. Leonard Hock

Facing the everyday struggles of life can be challenging enough, but facing the end of life can be a challenge that seems overwhelming.  I speak for all of the physicians here at Covenant Hospice when I say that no physician has ever wanted to say that there was nothing more that we could do for our patients.  We know that Covenant can still help when disease or medical conditions can no longer be cured.

At Covenant Hospice, our physician’s main focus and priority is on pain control and symptom management.  Although pain control is very important, it’s not the only thing that Covenant Hospice's physicians do for our patients.  We also work with nurses, social workers, home health aides, grief counselors, chaplains, and volunteers to see that every need of patients and the family gets attention.  As you can image, this is a very stressful time for our patients and for the people who love them.  I know that the resources listed below will help to answer some of your questions, but if not, please don’t hesitate to contact us at (850) 202-5814 for more information.

Sincerely,
Leonard Hock, D.O., CMD
Covenant Hospice Senior Vice President of Medical Services
